Nandigram deaths: CPI(M) stages demonstration

Staff Reporter

TIRUPUR: Nearly 500 activists of the Communist Party of India (Marxist)
on Wednesday staged a demonstration at Kumaran Square here in protest
against the killing of nine CPI(M) workers in Nandigram in West Bengal.

T.K. Rangarajan, central committee member of the party, said that the
Congress, Trinamool Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party were against
the industrial and economic growth in West Bengal. He said that the
CPI(M) was considering it as a different kind of class struggle.

"While the Prime Minister and Finance Minister were talking day in and
day out about growth, the Congress party in West Bengal was against
growth,'' he said.

C. Govindasamy, MLA, among others spoke.
